Today I will be in the car again. This trip should only take about half as long. The first family I stayed with is going to South Georgia to visit some friends. When they leave tomorrow, I will stay behind and have new adventures with a new family. I can't wait!

Left Behind
Today, the family I am staying with went tubing down the Chattahoochee River. I was looking forward to going because it sounded like fun. We were all getting ready to go
When they got home and told me about all the fun and adventures they had, I began to be glad that I had stayed behind. Some of the things they were telling me were almost scary. I mean, sure, they did fine, but I am a lot smaller.
Like when Butterfly's tube got away from her mom and then she fell out of her tube and couldn't touch bottom. I guess she and her mom were both really scared for a minute.
Or when Caiden got out of his tube and his mom fell out of hers trying to get him. Then their tubes floated down the river. Thankfully, Butterfly and her mom were able to catch them, but getting everyone reunited with their tubes was hard.
Like when the girls; FigNewTon, Taylor, and JJ were floating down the river. Taylor got out of her tube and panicked when she thought she saw a snake. The girls rushed to help her get back in.
Or once, when Nathan was all by himself, he fell out of his tube and had to swim to the shallow area near shore to get back on it.
and
then
they were gone!
I had been left behind!

I think I might have just floated on down the river never to be seen again!

Road Trip
Tomorrow I get to go on my first ever road trip! I am so excited! The first family I stayed with has been visiting OH and they are leaving tomorrow to go to GA. The girls don't seem too excited about the road trip, but I don't see why. Traveling is always an adventure! When we get to GA, there is not one, but two families I hope to have adventures with! I can't wait!

Let's Go Fly A Kite

On Friday, the girls made a kite during school. You can check out all they learned here. Then today, we tried to fly them. It wasn't really windy enough, though. Maybe we will get to fly kites again before I leave.

Monopoly
This evening, TheMom, Butterfly, and I played Monopoly. We quit because it was getting close to bedtime. When we stopped playing, it looked like Butterfly was going to win. Board games are fun to play!

This Past Week
We really didn't have many adventures. TheMom was sick, and lacked energy for most of the week. I think she is feeling better now. The girls did lots of school. And there were lots of appointments. All in all, there wasn't much for me to do but just hang out. Now that TheMom is feeling better, I hope to begin having adventures again. Signing off for now.

Introducing the Family
Yesterday I did not have a lot of adventures because TheMom is sick. So I will take this chance to tell you a bit about the family I am staying with. They are really nice. There is TheMom, Butterfly and FigNewTon.
TheMom is really nice. She always makes sure that I am not forgotten at home. She is forever reminding Butterfly not to sit on me. She homeschools both girls and does the cooking. Yes, she is the ultimate super mom.
Butterfly is 14 years old and has a brain injury, making her think more like an 8 year old. She is very outgoing. She enjoys reading and currently just read my favorite book Flat Stanley.
FigNewTon is 12. She is a kind young lady. She enjoys ice skating and hopes to go to the Olympics. She also does some of the cooking.
They have a really nice apartment and have been showing me around Omaha, NE. They live in a city not far from Omaha.
I mostly get to hang out with the girls. The other day I scared Butterfly into thinking she had lost me by hiding under her books. I am having lots of fun with this family.

A New Raincoat
Last night, I went through the laminating machine. I know. It seems a bit harsh, but it will keep me clean and dry for all of my upcoming adventures. It is like having a raincoat for your entire body fitted from head to toe! How cool is that?

The Beginning
Whew! I am soooo glad that girl took the book I was in off of the bookshelf and read it. It feels so good to be cut out of that book and headed off to new adventures! I can't wait to see where I get to go, who I get to meet, and what I get to do!
If you would like to meet me and share some of your adventures with me, you can leave a comment here or send me an email with your name and address. Who knows, I may end up in your mailbox one day soon! Enjoy your own adventures in the meantime!
